About

Surreal Development is a limited liability company founded in South Dakota and based in Seattle, Washington.

Surreal Development started with what was once known as Surreal Performance. Surreal Performance created the popular E47 Cax file. In 2016 the company was renamed and properly organized as Surreal Development LLC, and the first diagnostic app BiScan for GM was released.  In 2019 Gretio was released. Gretio, as of 2022, is the only DIY accessible professional tool available for GM vehicles. Gretio saves its users money by giving them the tools needed to fix their vehicles.

If the average user avoids 1 dealer service regen then Gretio has kept over $1,100,000 in consumer pockets as of 2022, and this number only goes up every day.

Surreal Development’s owner and primary engineer is Justin Hoogestraat. Justin (otherwise known as Snipesy) has been actively reversing vehicles since 2016, they have previous experiences as a Reverse Engineer for Trellix (previously Mcafee). Justin still manages Gretio to this day.
